The second Customer service representative i spoke to on the 15th of april thanked me for my final payment and said that the tradeline would be removed from all 3 credit bureau's but that they only report to the credit bureau's once a month so give it some time. I payed both payments as promised to bring this account to Paid in Full. I then set up a payment program of 2 payments one for $886 which I pay'ed right then on the phone (about the beginning of April) and the next payment of $400 set for the 15th of April. I was very happy with this as it also meant that i could return as a verizon wireless customer when i returned from Iraq. I told her that i would be willing to pay ALL of the debt owed to Verizon if this tradeline would be removed from my credit report, she explained that once the debt is paid in full, verizon would remove the tradeline.

She explained the bill to me and asked would i like to set up a re-payment plan. I immediatly called verizon wireless and spoke to someone in the collections department who was Very helpful.

In March 2005 i saw your entry on my credit report and remembered the situation that caused the Charge off. I eventually re-joined the military in Oct 2004 and got my financial situation under control. There were many bills past due at the time but i did not recall/know about this one. Around that time when it became a Charge off i was having major financial troubles as i was no longer in the military and had a great job working for the state of hawaii, but making half as much money as i did in the military. While i never recieved any notices because this was about the same time that i left the army and Schofield barracks i knew what it was for and i believe that if i owe the money i should pay. I realized this was for a phone that i had lost and never paid the contract off or got a new phone. But basicly what happened was that i reviewed my credit report as i am currently in Iraq and plan on buying a house when i return and saw that verizon wireless had a charge off on my account in the amount of $1286. Here's my complaint: I am writing to you guys in reguards to a Broken promise made to me by a customer service representative with your collection accounts. The customer service representative was very nice and helpful, i only wish i had taen her name and extension down. Just for the record, here's my home telephone information: 808-xxx-xxxx but can only be contacted by the means listed at the end of this letter as i am currently in iraq. Quite honestly, I'm annoyed with this issue. The world thrives on communication today, which is why I'm so upset with the billing or payment at Verizon Wireless.
